Modern Minimalism

June 9, 2016

It’s no secret that two of my absolute favourite fashion styles is 1.) the monochrome colour palate and 2.) anything minimal and clean.

Taking inspiration from SS16 runways and converting to ‘buy now wear now’ pieces is exactly what Witchery have created with their latest women’s collection with a key focus on “Modern Minimalism”.

One of my wardrobe staples during the winter months are black and white roll neck knits. A simple design that keeps you warm and allows you to layer with various textures or lengths to create a different look. I opted to keep things minimal with a black longline ‘coatigan’  featuring longer length sleeves and oversized patch pockets outfitted with a pair of tapered trousers made in the most incredible premium Japanese fabric.

A second wardrobe staple of mine is the white shirt. A definite heroed piece in this latest Witchery collection is the classic longline tunic shirt featuring a mandarin collar, side-split hem and French cuffs. You could create a new look when outfitted with lux track pants or simply worn as a shirt dress with a pair of sneakers for a fresh take. Think uncomplicated, refined and modern.
