Moody Blooms

September 28, 2016

I’ll be the first to admit that owning, never or less wearing, a floral print item is simply not me. However the latest influx of dark and moody florals found against a dark colour palette or embroidered on luxe jacquard fabrics has me changing my opinion rather quickly.

Spotted on the runway countless times this past season moody blooms are taking over. With darker colour palettes and longer hemlines to create a dash of drama with a hint of Victorian goth. Marc Jacobs, Erdem, Burberry and Vetements all showed long-length dresses in moody, nearly sinister patterns.

Keep the look casual with a boho maxi dress, leather jacket and a pair of trusty ankle boots or if all over floral is simply too much a printed floral scarf or an embroidered jacket will do the trick.

There’s no reason not to look blooming fabulous this season.
