Recently I attended the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate, one of the world’s most prestigious race horse events. For those of you that aren’t familiar with it the theme every year is blue and white, reflecting timeless lines while still showcasing the wearers individuality.
This year I decided to ditch the department stores and chose to support local. We have so many incredibly talented young creatives here in South Africa that don’t get enough exposure simple due to lack of budget or/and lack of business skills. With the blog and it’s various social media platforms growing I’ve been beginning to feel it’s part of my responsibility to feature these talented designers on My Life in Pink.
So for the LQP I wore this spectacular blue and white masterpiece from local designer Rich Mnisi.
“Rich Mnisi is a contemporary fashion brand founded in 2014 by LISOF graduate and Africa Fashion International Young Designer of the Year 2014. With a global view catering for an aspirational market, the brand is young at heart and explores the treasures engraved within Africa and the world of modern culture and heritage to tell the unique stories of then, now and soon.”
