Pretty Pinafore

The pinafore dress… the more girly version of good old dungarees. It’s the perfect item to indulge in school girl chic. With it’s striking simplicity, ease and comfort it’s hard not to love.

Last week I posted an article all about dungarees and how to wear them, the same applies with the pinafore dress, except this time theres more room for more of a girly attitude.

3.) My younger brother looks like Justin Bieber.
4.) One of my favourite books was a book I stumbled upon in a second hand book store for fifty cents called Moulin Rouge and no it wasn’t the love story the film Moulin Rouge is about but rather a story written by Pierre La Mure in 1950 about the life of one of my fav artists Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
5.) I have a 70% chance that I’ll give birth to twins one day.

True Blue

This Summer it’s out with the shorts and in with the pants! You might think I’m crazy to suggest wearing long pants in thirty degree weather but you’ll be surprised just have airy and Summery a pair of light weight denim/linen joggers or trousers can be.

As I get older I tend to fall in love and choose clothing that covers my legs or my cleavage. It’s not to say I’m ashamed of my body, quite the contrary, I love my body! It’s not that I’ve become conservative either, I love experimenting with new styles and pushing boundaries. It’s simply because I find a pair of trousers or joggers more elegant then a pair of denim shorts and what women doesn’t want to be elegant?

Don’t get me wrong, I still own about five pairs of denim shorts that I’ll wear to the beach and around the house, just not all the time like I used to. Especially not to my business meetings.

One of my current favourite places to shop for elegant yet trendy pieces of clothing is Witchery. Take these denim joggers for example, they light, comfortable and simple, the same goes for the denim shirt. Want a less casual look? Team the denim joggers with a lace cami and a pair of matching heels and you set for your business meeting or lunch with the ladies.

Urban Chic

My wardrobe is currently in a state of transition with Winter on it’s way out and Summer on it’s way in. It’s that time of the year were weather is unpredictable.

During these periods is always better to invest in pieces for the upcoming season, Summer/Winter, instead of the transiting season, Spring/Autumn. This way you’ll have your wardrobe foundations organised and ready.

Currently I can not leave the house without one of my five blazers. They make the perfect transeasonal piece. Wear it when the wind starts to pick up or through it over your shoulders when things heat up a little.

I paired my almost-completely-white outfit with a pair of denim shorts but a pair of distressed boyfriend or skinny jeans would work perfectly too.

Do you have a favourite transeasonal piece?
