There’s nothing quite like escaping a week of madness like a trip out into the countryside.
Old Mac Daddy in Elgin is my go-to spot, it’s only an hour out of town and has the perfect balance of comfort and nature. (But more about Old Mac Daddy in tomorrow’s blog post.)
It was still a little chilly in the early mornings and late evenings out in the country side so I made sure to pack some warmer items. My striped poncho was the perfect comfort item to cuddle up in next to the fire or throw on for my morning walks amongst the fynbos and apple orchards.

So it’s been quite some time since my last interior lust list post but being abroad for so long I am starting to miss my home and I keep thinking about fixing it up when I return to South Africa.
Also I ordered these beautiful, minimal, white draws from @home (see below) back in May and they have finally been delivered! I can’t wait to start accessorising it. I guess that also promoted today’s post.
So today’s interior inspiration is drawn from beautiful, monochromic environments with screeded flooring, bright corners and simplistic designs. I love it!

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day literally right around the corner I have another giveaway on the blog. This one’s for all those ladies that don’t have someone special to spoil them tomorrow or busy mommies that barely have the time to pamper themselves.
Cotton On RSA have teamed up with My Life in Pink to spoil someone special with a pack of Cotton On Body intimates. Ooo-la-la 😉
I recently bought myself one of their Body intimates lace bra and boy do I love it! I only wish I had bought more. I prefer dainty, lace bras compared to padded push up ones. I find they classier and more feminine.
All you got to do to qualify for the giveaway is:
1.) Make sure you following @emmamenteath and @cottononbody on Twitter.
2.) Share any one of the black and white images in this post on twitter and make sure you add the hashtag #CottonOnRSA and tag @emmamenteath and @cottononbody.
3.) Leave a comment on this blog post once you’ve completed all the steps.
You have two weeks!
Wana beat Ellen Degeneres famous Oscar selfie? Now you can thanks to Cotton On’s new “Selfie Scope”.
Lock your smart phone into place, pair your phone’s bluetooth with the BT3.0 Shutter, hold up the stick, aim and shoot by using the super handy small remote control.
I had a little giggle to myself when I first heard about the Selfie Scope, I mean think about it, does one really need a stick to take a selfie? It wasn’t until I started using it for group selfie shots and at concerts that I really understand the benefits of owning one.
My Life in Pink and Cotton On have teamed up and decided to give away a “Selfie Scope” to one lucky reader all you have to do is:
2.) Tweet the image below making sure you mention both @emmamenteath and #CottonOnRSA in your tweet.
3.) Lastly leave a comment on this post letting me know you’ve entered.
Good Luck, winner will be announced in two weeks.
