The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind of activities and adulating. On a positive note, my spousal visa finally pulled through and so our tickets to London have finally been booked. Going to be experiencing my first ever UK winter. If you have any tips, please do send them my way – particularly how to dress for cold weather, I’m truly shocking at it. Before I get carried away with winter, spring’s on the rise here in Cape Town and with it a new Witchery collection, Marseilles, inspired by effortless French fashion.
The silhouettes are long and languid in the new collection, often wrapped and folded with exaggerated proportions and boasting a colour palette after my own heart – natural and parchment with accented spice notes. Yes please!
A favourite of mine from the collection is the long sleeve, polka dot midi dress. The perfect piece to layer and play around all year long.
In true French style every piece from this new collection is versatile and effortless. Finished work and have last minute drinks with friends? Not a problem, just throw on your trench, add a red lip and you ready to go.

Has anyone else felt like March has been an insanely emotionally challenging month? My personal life has felt like a pan of scrambled eggs. Everything from work deadlines to challenging health obstacles I’ve never so eagerly awaited the end of a month as much as I have with March 2018. (Not that the end of a month solves anything but you know, clean slate just helps things mentally.)
At least seasons are changing and I’m grateful for that. I just adore transeasonal dressing. More layers = more fun!
Speaking of transeasonal, is there anything more versatile than a denim jacket? This one has a dark black wash and finished with light brushing and abrasions for a beautiful lived-in feel. I was clearly inspired by the 70’s and the flower power kids, embracing my inner hippy with a floral maxi dress paired with some comfy trainers for the perfect effortless street style look.

Denim overalls – the ultimate off-duty style. A.k.a coffee hunting outfit. Comfortable and adaptable for any situation or style. Also having a major crush on beret’s at the moment ever since I discovered they the perfect beanie alternative, they really do keep your ears warm!
Which look do you prefer? L.A chic flower power gal or wannabe Parisian painter?

On the 28th February H&M will reveal their new Studio collection in true style at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs during Paris Fashion Week. A collection inspired and revolved around Japan’s minimalistic design and quiet grace.
In line with their new Studio collection H&M will also be sponsoring a major exhibition about Japan at Musée des Arts Décoratifs. The exhibition will open later in the year and celebrate 150 years of cultural exchange between France and Japan, plus explore Japan’s influence in Western culture.
A collection featuring clean silhouettes, head-to-toe prints and bright colours while still embracing an overall relaxed feel. Think flowing full-length dresses, easy tunics worn over trousers, utilitarian tailoring and statement knits.
The collection will be available in the Sandton City store on the 1st of March 2018.
Shot in Cape Town adventuring between beaches and rocky cliffs in an array of colourful knits, boyfriend shirts and oversized parkas – no reason not to look cool when camping or festival going.
