These bliss balls are so damn refreshing and tasty, contain healthy oils and is the perfect treat to help curb those sugar cravings.
– 2 cups shredded coconut and a little bit extra for the end
– 1/2 cup almonds
– 2-3 teaspoons rice malt syrup (vegans) or honey
– 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
– zest and juice of one organic lemon. (I prefer using organic lemons when I need zest.)
– Pop all your ingredients into a food processor and blend.
– If the mixture isn’t sticking together add a lil more coconut oil.
– Roll into balls.
– And cover with the extra shredded coconut.
– Refrigerate for until firm.
Makes about 18 balls, 130 calories per ball.
It took me awhile before I decided to start investing in salon hair products. I’m a bargain girl so the thought of spending R300 on shampoo or conditioner when I could get it for the fraction of the price horrified me.
However, the modelling industry and constant shootings definitely started to take a toll on my hair and a friend of mine recommended Davines so I decided to see what all the fuss was about.
The shampoo I bought was terribly disappointing but the conditioner on the other hand, blew me away. It’s more like a conditioner mask that you leave in for 10min and the tomato extract acts as an illuminator.
My first tub of NouNou lasted me 5 months, and I wash my hair every second day, occasionally every day when I have back to back shoots, so conservatively speaking that works out to R3,40 per wash. Which if you ask me ain’t bad at all and totally worth investing in.
Oh and on other note, they don’t test on animals plus 1% of all their sales gets donated to For the Planet to support environmental charities. Clear hair, clean conscience.
This week’s instalment of Friday favs is dedicated to my new Superstar sneakers. I’ve been lusting over these bad boys for months now and last week I finally decided to buy myself a pair.
I’ve been dying to wear them but the streets of Berlin are so filthy so I am waiting till I’m back in South Africa before wearing them. Yes I am that obsessed with keeping my white sneakers as white as possible.

Happy weekend everyone,
