Sorry for being pretty quiet the past two weeks, work has just been insane! Season started with a bang and I’ve barely had any personal time to myself to work on My Life in Pink.
Whoever said modelling was glamorous sure got that wrong! Unless waking up at 4am every morning and getting home at 10pm and living on a few hours sleep every night is your idea of glamorous ;). Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love my job and it’s helped open up an endless amount of doors for me and I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help of people I’ve met over the years working in this industry.
One of my favourite parts about being a model is seeing the end result after a long hard day of work. How everyone’s creative energy comes together as one and creates a beautiful image and that’s how I feel about this shoot I shot in New York with photographer duo Jacob Sadrak and Carrol Cruz. Their work in amazing with an impressive resume of clients such as Vogue, Harpers Bazaar and Tush.
The editorial was a coat story and the energy behind the shoot was a mixture of very structured and still, “I’m too cool for school” shots and jumping, free spirited shots. Anyway, hope you like them… 🙂
This shoot was my first shoot in New York City with photographer Nikolai Golovanoff when I signed to my agency, The Lions.
The inspiration behind the shoot was inspired by Inez and Vinoodh’s black and white studio portraits. Styling was minimal, literally just grabbed items of clothing from Nikolai’s wardrobe, and the portrayed emotion of the day was soft and gentle. No frowning allowed 😉
I absolutely adore the opening image Nikolai captured of me. Next week I’ll be sharing some more “work” images from my stay in New York City.
