If white cotton shirts are my Summer staple, then knitwear is my Winter addiction. I can’t get enough, no matter how high my knitwear pile grows (yes, my clothing is categorised…) I just don’t stop buying more.
There’s just something so cosy about wearing a slightly oversized knit with a pair of denims or trousers and your favourite Winter scarf while you run out to go grab your mid day coffee.
This Winter I’ll be wrapping up in this warm wool-blend knit with a roll neck and extra long sleeves from Witchery. Keeping things on the more masculine side with baggy trousers and a pair of loafers. For a feminine approach, style your knit with skinny jeans and a pair of ankle boots.
Your alarm buzzes for the umpteenth time and you realise you only have 15min to get ready and on top of the rush you have no idea what to wear.
We’ve all been in above situation many times before and one of my go-to’s in such situation is the ever so loyal twinset. From the Wimbledon courts to a high street must, the twinset makes getting ready in the morning a whole lot easier.
I’ve kept my outfit casual with a pair of grey slip on’s but if you wondering how to pull this look off for work simply add a pair of heels and a loose bun.
There’s no reason not to get cosy this Winter.
Japanese womenswear label, HYKE, have once again teamed up with adidas Originals and designed a collection that makes my heart pound. It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with simple and clean aesthetics and that’s exactly what the new adidas Originals by HYKE SS16 collection is all about.
The collection focused on a colour palette of navy and white all while keeping in line a clean and collected range with authentic sportswear elements. Fashionable minimalism.
Favourite piece of the collection? The ultra white high top Stan Smiths! As far as shoes are concerned there’s nothing that gets me more excited then a pair of fresh white sneakers. (I currently own 11 pairs!) I’ve officially labeled this sneaker as the must have shoe for 2016. Also the socks – insert emoji with heart eyes – #JustSaying.

My denim collection grows bigger by the day, it’s kind of strange considering two years ago I only owned one pair of black skinnies. Now a quarter of my wardrobe consists of some form of denim. Maybe it’s because I’m getting older and theirs something sophisticated and free about a pair of denims. Or maybe it’s my Parisian obsession, either way a pair of well fitted denims is a must for any women.
Today’s post features the two different styles of denims, a pair of blue skinnies and a pair of black coated skinnies, each styled differently.
The first denim look has a more laid back feeling for those Summer Bohemian nights or a lunch out with a friend. Team your denims with a block heel for a comfy yet elevated look, throw on a pair of sunnies and you good to go. These Witchery skinnies are made from a stretch fabric providing the outmost comfort.
For my second look I embraced my love affair with Paris. Classic, well fitted black skinnies, a stripped tee teamed with a red lip.
This particular pair of denims are made from coated fabrications for a leather look finish. For a comfortable yet stylish look for the office and after work, simply add a leather coat or a blazer, swop your work bag out for a clutch and head out for drinks.
Recently I’ve been staying in the most unbelievable house in Cape Town that I never want to leave. Every morning , as the sun rises, I am greeted with an unobstructed view of the full length of Table Mountain (One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World) and feel, excuse the hashtag, utterly #blessed.
Lately I’ve been feeling uninspired by work and life in general but I think this house may just have ignited my ambition, perseverance and creative juices. Fingers crossed it’s a permanent thing…
When it comes to ease, nothing beats a twinset. Your outfit is already paired together for you and all you got to do is add a pair of shoes and an accessory or two and you good to go because we all know that taking over the World requires our full attention.
