For those of you that follow me on Instagram or snapchat you’ll know that I’ve just returned from the most incredible, once in a life time holiday sailing around Greece. It’s been real hard ‘reintegrating’ back into normal life. I don’t want to get into Greece too much right now as I snapped about 5000 photos that I’ve been editing through and have 6/7 blog posts about Greece planned for you all!
On another note who watches football? In this particular case who watched the Euro 2016 Finals last night, France vs Portugal? I’m a Spanish supporter at heart but last night I supported France in honour of all the amazing French friends I have in my life . However when Cristiano Ronaldo had to leave the field after 25 minutes due to a knee injury my heart felt heavy and I actually shed a tear or two. He’s an undeniably talented footballer but man, do I dislike the guy. Probably as much as I dislike those weight lifting guys in gym that sound like they animals giving birth or guys that drive around in overly expensive cars with their tops down blasting music from their cars! However I have an extremely sensitive heart and seeing him leave the field on a stretcher knowing this is most likely the last Euro tournament he’ll ever play in tugged on my emotional chords. I’m glad Portugal won, they’ve never won a tournament before, and I’m a firm believer that everyone deserves a chance to shine.
Enough football let’s talk fashion!
There’s no denying that the Seventies have made a major comeback these past two seasons and along with their comeback is the rise of the one of my favourite materials – Velvet. This luxurious material is no longer reserved for old people’s living rooms but has recently graced the catwalks of Louis Vuitton, Alberta Ferretti and Givenchy – think three piece suits or simple slip dresses.
It’s a bold trend to pull off and not everyone will feel comfortable wearing a head to toe velvet look. I opted for a dark green shade that was closer to the colour black to keep my look chic and effortless rather then a brighter colour that screamed “LOOK AT ME NOW!”
For those of you that are tempted to try the trend but you not too sure if velvet’s your thing, stick to the one piece rule. So either a pair of velvet trousers or a velvet top. And if that’s still too much for you you could simply add a black velvet chocker to your outfit.
Viva le Velvet!

Japanese womenswear label, HYKE, have once again teamed up with adidas Originals and designed a collection that makes my heart pound. It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with simple and clean aesthetics and that’s exactly what the new adidas Originals by HYKE SS16 collection is all about.
The collection focused on a colour palette of navy and white all while keeping in line a clean and collected range with authentic sportswear elements. Fashionable minimalism.
Favourite piece of the collection? The ultra white high top Stan Smiths! As far as shoes are concerned there’s nothing that gets me more excited then a pair of fresh white sneakers. (I currently own 11 pairs!) I’ve officially labeled this sneaker as the must have shoe for 2016. Also the socks – insert emoji with heart eyes – #JustSaying.

Recently I’ve been staying in the most unbelievable house in Cape Town that I never want to leave. Every morning , as the sun rises, I am greeted with an unobstructed view of the full length of Table Mountain (One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World) and feel, excuse the hashtag, utterly #blessed.
Lately I’ve been feeling uninspired by work and life in general but I think this house may just have ignited my ambition, perseverance and creative juices. Fingers crossed it’s a permanent thing…
When it comes to ease, nothing beats a twinset. Your outfit is already paired together for you and all you got to do is add a pair of shoes and an accessory or two and you good to go because we all know that taking over the World requires our full attention.
A feminine style that is built with detailing and fabrics, the Victorian trend is everywhere. From the pussy-bow blouse’s from Gucci to the slip dresses from Alexander McQueen. Think multiple ruffles, light silks and sheer lace.
I opted for a more muted and modern version of the Victorian trend: a ruffled blouse, pair of vintage denims, a cute pair of pointed ankle boots from SLY010 and a bag that’s something between Victorian and Western.
