The Talented Mr.Ripley Style Guide

August 12, 2016

Two night’s ago I watched The Talented Mr.Ripley for the first time and instantly fell in love. Why has no body suggested this film to me before? From sun-drenched fashion amidst blue sparkling waters to tailored perfection in the cobbled streets of Rome, an effortless marriage of Italian style. Major La Dolca Vita feels.

Sure Matt Damon and Jude Law offer a perfect balance of eye candy but it was the fashion that had me dreaming of Italian coastlines. It’s no wonder the film was nominated for Best Costume Design.

I highly regret not knowing the film was an adaption of Patricia Highsmith’s novel, The.Talented Mr.Ripley, as I think the book would be a true ‘keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat’ sort of psychological thriller.

Feeling inspired I complied a style guide of some of my favourite looks from the film, perfect inspiration for your next Summer vacation, which after watching the film will have you scanning airlines for the next flight to Amalfi Italy or somewhere along the French Riviera.

Ah, the sweet life…

… how often have I used the term, “the talented Mr Polkey.”
Where do think I got it from?
I also loved the movie and became a big Matt Damon since then.
